What is Yoga Maya?

Yoga Maya translates as the Power of the Divine in the World.  In 2017 Trevor was authorized by the late Sanyasani Bandana Puri Devi of the Sri Sri Saradeswari Asharm Kolkata, and Mataji Gauribrata Puri Devi to function as a Spiritual Head of a Spiritual Center. Mataji gave Trevor specific instructions to Trevor Chaitanya to start his teaching mission and Interfaith Ministry.  Under Mataji's blessings Trevor Chaitanya's mission work was named "The Yoga Maya Center - For Modern Mystics with Mission Hearts to Love and Serve All".

Yoga Maya has many meanings and context.  Yoga Maya is one of many names of Shakti, or Divine Mother.  Yoga Maya is Durga in a particular  mood in the great epic the Srimad Bhagavatam where the Mother energy acts to protect Shri Krishna as a baby.

As many of us know, Yoga refers to spiritual union. Maya is often simply translated as illusion.  This is accurate, yet the word means more than just illusion. To paraphrase my Vedanta Guru, Sripada Raju, Maya is the bases of transactional reality, where all appearances play out.  Maya is magic, Maya is the power of delusion but also the power that is ever present bringing us into the direct knowing of our Truest Self.   All actions within conditioned reality, are either under the power of Yoga Maya, or Maha Maya.  Maha Maya is the great delusion of fear, anger, greed and ultimately the sense of separateness.  Yoga Maya is the play of duality in its movement towards Divine action and understanding.  Yoga Maya is brining "the Divine Power into the world".  One's highest potential can only be reached by the power of Yoga Maya, while Maha Maya brings us into confusion, delusion and error.

The Yoga Maya Center is an independent and spiritual affiliate of Mothers Trust Ashram.  What does this mean?  There are no legal ties between the two. They are spiritually connected and completed independent.  Mataji Gauribrata wished for Trevor Chaitanya to work freely as a spiritual independent teacher whose mission is tied through sacred bonds with the Ganges Michigan Vortex and healing energies at Mothers Trust and the Universal Spirituality of the Holy Twins.

Trevor was given the name Chaitanya Prabhu “master of wisdom” by Bandana Puri Devi January 1st 2016, the wish fulfilling day of the great master Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

Our hope and prayer is that the mission work Trevor engages under the blessings and umbrella of the Yoga Maya consciousness can help you better serve others, healing all beings everywhere in all times places and dimensions.
